August 16, 17 and 18, 2013 will be the dates of the Annual New England Men’s Retreat. It will take place at Camp Berea, Hebron, NH. This is a powerful gathering of hundreds of men from all over New England coming together to praise The Lord, and be strengthened in Christ. Men also build life lasting and life changing relationships with other men.
The 2013 speaker will be Ken Graves from Bangor, Maine, a powerful speaker known all over the US. He will be speaking on Friday and Saturday nights. Steve Murray from The Rock in Plaistow will be speaking on Sunday morning, followed by a baptismal in the lake for those who want to take that step of faith. Saturday morning will be filled with men gathering into groups of guys to participate in dedicated “tracks’ of study. Multiple tracks (topics) are available, so there is a topic of study that will fit everyone’s needs or desires. Saturday afternoon is spent participating in a barbecue, followed by fun activities such as softball, volleyball, the ever favorite “blob jump” on the lake, tennis, hiking, checkers, chess, cards etc.
The registration fee is $135 and includes all activities, lodging, and all meals. This event is sponsored by a number of churches including The Rockingham Church, Common Ground, New Life Assembly. St Matthews UMC, Leominster UMC, The Rock Amesbury UMC, Zone Church and others. For churches who register at least 5 men, their pastor is included at no charge. Some churches who bring a group want their men to participate in the tracks with other churches; others desire to have their own separate track. We are able to accommodate either desire.
You will definitely want to participate in this powerful event. All churches have reported a strengthening of their men, a strengthening of their local church, and a definite revival in the local church as a result of participating in this powerful event.
