At the General Conference in 2012, the United Methodist Church adopted an Act of Repentance. This Act of Repentance is intended to help mend the fences between the Methodist church and the Native American communities. As part of living into that Act of Repentance, the bishops were challenged at a connectional table meeting to engage in a six week study on Native Americans.
This six week study will be offered here at St. John’s on Sundays from 2:00-3:30pm, October 26 – Nov 30. Todd Warfield will be leading this study. We will be reading a book, reading handouts, watching videos and having discussion around the topics covered in the study.
Sign-up sheet is in Hartford Hall. Hope to see some of you there!
