St. John’s UMC will send their 10th VIM (Volunteers in Mission) team to work with the St. Bernard Project in New Orleans, LA. St. Bernard Project asked us to return after their Spring Break rush to help finish up some houses. Our work week begins Monday, April 27 and ends Friday, May 1. This is school vacation for Dover High and several other area high schools.

SBP has rebuilt over 500 homes, yet has 130 families on their waiting list pending funding and

The Bolian family has again invited the team to stay at their “Tree House” in Slidell, across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans East. Team members (10 have joined to date) will have the option to attend Jazz Fest before or after our work week.

Mission team fees are $150, and include ground transportation, food and a donation to the St. Bernard Project.
