“The Music Man” – Maine State Music Theater
July 15, 2015

“THE MUSIC MAN” follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef! His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian. You will laugh until your sides hurt and cheer for the all-out dance sequences. Don’t miss this show, hailed by many as the perfection of the American musical comedy!

The trip is open to members of St. John’s who are 65 or older and it is on a first come first serve basis. The cost is $50 per person; the Helen Burnham Senior Program Fund and the Chase Senior Fund pay a large portion of the cost. If you are a member 65 and over, and cannot afford to go, there are scholarships available. For Non-Members or people under 65 the cost will be $105, if there are seats available.
