Please come and join us for our annual Garden Open House: Sunday Sept. 20, 2015 during fellowship time between services. Garden tours will be available then, as well as fellowship refreshment samplings from the “Good Earth Community Garden” which include some of our own cornmeal muffins and red raspberry creamed-topped cupcakes.

Come see how the garden has taken on a new look this year as we have added new plants and invested in a new watering system along with the repair of the donated lawn mower & hoses. I am always amazed at the changing landscape of beauty that St. John’s “Good Earth Garden” has to offer. It provides a pause in the business that we all let ourselves get caught up in.

I would like to take a moment to thank those who gave time & help to the garden ministry this year: Shari & Peter Grieve, Judith Custer, Guy Eaton, John Pelletier & Karen Wilfrid, Mike Willett, Lenny Colongione, Wendy Kettlewood & Girl Scouts (Audrey, Tatum, Piper, & Cailey).

In addition to church members who bought our produce, we were able to provide organic grown food for Dover Children’s Home, the Food Pantry, My Friend’s Place Homeless Shelter, St. John’s Bible School & church suppers, Dover Children’s Center, and friends & families in need.

In God’s Service, Marsha Pelletier
