If you were in church June 5, you enjoyed the antics of a well-spritzed Bill Simons, who made us all laugh as he reminded us what summer worship has been like in past years, temperature-wise!
Bill announced the good news that we’re air conditioning the sanctuary this summer, thanks to a kick-start from a generous donor who has provided over half of the funds needed for the project!
Church Council has approved a temporary $11,000 loan from investments — so we’re proceeding with the air conditioning project as you read this!
As a church we need to pay ourselves back by June 2017. We are asking everyone who is part of the St. John’s community to help us to repay the loan – while enjoying summer worship in a cool sanctuary!
A pledge form is included in this Bellwether and is in church bulletins as well. We will also send one to you if you call the office at 742-3046. We ask you to pledge and/or contribute whatever amount you can. You can choose to pay it using whatever method, amount or time frame is best for you. Just bring or mail it to the church office at 28 Cataract Avenue, Dover, NH, 03820.
If you choose electronic funds transfer, just check off that option and our office manager, Sandy Dearborn, will contact you to make arrangements.
Please give as much as you feel able…and look forward to enjoying a pleasant sanctuary temperature this summer!
