Deepen your walk with the Lord on an Emmaus weekend

The local group that presents “Walk to Emmaus” weekends has set the dates for this fall’s events. The dates for this fall are:

* Men’s Walk: October 27-30
* Women’s Walk: November 3-6

The weekend will take place at the York Anchorage Inn, in York, Maine.

These events are 72 hours long – from Thursday evening until Sunday evening. The Emmaus website introduces the weekends this way:

“The walk to Emmaus is an experience of Christian spiritual renewal and formation that begins with a three-day short course in Christianity. It is an opportunity to meet Jesus Christ in a anew way as God’s grace and love is revealed to you through other believers.

“The objective of Emmaus is to inspire, challenge and equip the local church members for Christian action I n their homes, churches, communities and places of work. Emmaus lifts up a way for our grace-filled lives to be lived and shared with others.”

If you have questions, or know that you would like to attend one of these weekends, speak to one of the folks at St. John’s who has already attended one (Jim Avrett, Mary Avrett, Wendy Alley, Mark Alley, Patrick Murphy, Brenda Borchers, Mike Kelly and Cheri Nixon).
