Scouts

Our church is home to both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

The Scouts mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes, by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Cub Scouts is for boys and girls in Kindergarten to 5th Grade.  Each Rank is grouped with respect to School grades into Dens that meet once a week, three times a month.  We have Lions for Kindergartners, then Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos, and then Arrow of Light Scouts for 5th Graders.

Each rank works on achievements starting June 1 towards their Rank Badge.  These achievements focus in the areas of Duty to God, Personal Health and Fitness, Being Friendly to Nature, Duty to Community and Country, Emergency Preparedness, and STEM.

Each Scout is always encouraged to always “Do Their Best!” and to have FUN!  Once a month, the Pack meets as a whole to present Achievement Badges that have been earned in the time between the two Pack Meetings.

Pack 180 Scouts do a variety of activities throughout the year, including summer camps, Spring and Fall Abnaki District Cub Scout Campouts, hikes, Pinewood Derby, museum visits, Egg Drop off of the Dover Fire Department’s Ladder Truck, Marching in the Dover Christmas Parade, Caroling at Dover Area Rest Homes, Scouting For Food Food Collections, and attending Flag Day, Veteran’s Day, and Memorial Day Ceremonies

The Eagle Board meets monthly.

Girl Scout Troops 22827 and 22273 and 22741 also meet here, and their Leaders meet monthly.
