Christians In Action (CIA) Youth Group
“Let no one look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in your speech, conduct, love, faithfulness, and purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
Who We Are
We are the St. John’s Youth Group, also known as the CIA–or Christians in Action.
Our youth group consists of junior high (grades 6-8) and senior high (9-12). We try to balance our time between devotions, mission and fun. Being a teenager can be tough, so the group provides a fun, safe environment where everyone is welcome to have fun while learning about God’s love for us. As a group we make sure to be kind, considerate, and follow the golden rule. To further show our commitment to the safety of our children and youth, we have created a Safe Sanctuary Policy for St. John’s.
What We Do
We are called by God to act in His name. Answering His call can be in a variety of ways including things like: volunteering in the community at soup kitchens and End 68 Hours of Hunger. We host fundraisers and hold benefit dinners. We have even been known to go on Mission Trips to New Orleans to help with Hurricane Katrina cleanup.
Other things that we do are: attend Christian Music Festivals, cooking together, sledding in the winter, parties, dances, games and more! Combining fun and games with learning how to answer God’s calling for us to follow Him is what we are about at the core. We welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about God and is excited at helping others!
